Description: The station consist of a pair of 135m down and up platforms. The up platform is an island platform, which once served the branch line to Newnes.
Current status: The station still exists although trains stop only very rarely for passengers. It still sees coal trains visiting to the nearby Clarence Colliery. The signal box on the up platform is cut in when such coal trains traverse the colliery loop.
